The Snow Hill Area Chamber of Commerce would be delighted to celebrate your business with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
Your business must meet one of the following criteria:
· Opened its doors in the last 12 months.
· Changed ownership or under new management.
· Moved to a new location.
· Has been remodeled or expanded at its present location.
· Is celebrating a milestone such as 10, 20, 30+ years in business.
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is an important part of your overall marketing and advertising plan and is a great way to kick off a grand opening of a business. It offers an opportunity to meet key leaders in the community and get acquainted with your neighbors and chamber members. The Snow Hill Area Chamber of Commerce would enjoy assisting you in planning a successful event for your business.
The chamber will take photos of the event which can be emailed at no additional cost. Scheduling a ribbon cutting with the chamber should take place at a minimum of four weeks prior to the event. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages are usually served, but it is your decision, and the Chamber does not cover the cost of those refreshments. For dining establishments this is a great opportunity to give guests a taste of what you have to offer! Offering refreshments creates a great networking environment, as attendees typically stay longer and engage with others.
We also suggest offering a giveaway (e.g. business card drawing) for a door prize to collect names of potential customers. Your plan can be as simple or elaborate as you like, whatever fits your budget.
The Chamber Staff will help make things go as smoothly as possible by:
· Notifying the Chamber's Board of Directors, Town and County Dignitaries and Chamber members encouraging them to attend your event.
· Putting you in touch with other chamber businesses that can provide catering, deli and beverage services.
· Bringing the giant scissors, ribbon, and taking pictures at the appointed time.
The business owner should email a few paragraphs or a press release about the business’ grand opening or other celebration to info@snowhillchamber.com so the Chamber can add that to the invitation, social media postings, and/or social media event page.
Please send invitations and announcements to those within your own company. This is YOUR celebration! Make sure everyone knows about it!
The Chamber will notify the Chamber's Board of Directors, Town and County Dignitaries and Chamber members encouraging them to attend your event. We do not send out invites to friends or family, clients or customers, so make sure you invite those who you would like to attend.
The Chamber will provide a wide red ribbon for ribbon cuttings, a red bow, and will bring their own ceremonial scissors. The photos will be taken by Mandy Gladden or another Chamber representative and can be emailed to the owner, they will also be added to the Chamber’s Facebook page, Instagram, and newsletter.
REMEMBER: This is your celebration! Please send invitations/announcements to your partners, vendors, customers, family, and friends!
